Sports Complexes In & Near Brushy Creek, TX: The Local Guide to Fields, Courts, Ice, Baseball & More
Basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, skating, hockey, pickleball, cricket, and professional sports — here’s where to play and watch sports around Brushy Creek.
One thing you don't immediately realize when you're driving through Brushy Creek is how much sports infrastructure sits nearby.
Inside Brushy Creek itself, you've got courts, fields, pools, trails, and indoor gyms.
Drive west toward Cedar Park, and you can be at a sports park, recreation center, two NHL-sized ice rinks, or a professional hockey and basketball arena.
Head east toward Round Rock and the scale gets even bigger: tournament soccer fields, one of Central Texas' largest indoor sports centers, twenty baseball fields, a softball complex, and Dell Diamond.
So if sports are part of your routine, here are the facilities worth knowing.
Start Right in Brushy Creek: Brushy Creek Community Center & Park
16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock, TX 78681
This is probably the sports facility Brushy Creek residents should learn about first because it sits right inside the community.
The 21-acre Brushy Creek Community Center & Park combines indoor and outdoor recreation in one location.
Outside, you'll find a soccer/practice field, tee-ball field, sand volleyball, a 0.9-mile all-weather trail, and fitness stations.
Inside, the Community Center has four full-size gym courts, which can also be configured as eight half courts, plus indoor volleyball, racquetball courts, an indoor walking path, cardio/weight facilities, and fitness space.
Brushy Creek MUD currently uses the facility for youth basketball, soccer, tee ball, volleyball, and flag football, along with programs ranging from tennis and fencing to taekwondo and rock climbing.
Best for: Basketball, volleyball, soccer practice, tee ball, racquetball and general fitness.
Brushy Creek Community Center & Park
Cat Hollow Park: The Neighborhood Sports Stop
8320 O'Connor Drive, Round Rock, TX 78681
Cat Hollow isn't a giant tournament complex, and that's exactly why it's useful.
The 11-acre Cat Hollow Park puts several everyday sports amenities directly inside Brushy Creek, including:
- Basketball court
- Tennis court
- Tee-ball/baseball field
- Soccer/practice space
- Sand volleyball
- Swimming pool
- 0.9-mile all-weather trail
Brushy Creek MUD has also invested in resurfacing and lighting improvements for the sport courts.
This is the kind of facility you can actually use as part of an ordinary week rather than having to wait for a tournament or organized event.
Best for: Casual basketball, tennis, volleyball, practice fields, and swimming.
Brushy Creek North Park
4000 Park Drive, Round Rock, TX
Another smaller but useful neighborhood option is Brushy Creek North Park.
Brushy Creek MUD currently lists:
- One soccer/practice field
- One sand volleyball court
- Neighborhood recreation space
- Trail access
The soccer/practice field can also be reserved by Brushy Creek residents, with Brushy Creek Youth League practices receiving priority.
It's another good example of how recreational facilities are scattered throughout Brushy Creek instead of concentrated into one huge complex.
Brushy Creek Sports Park: The Big One on the Cedar Park Side
2310 Brushy Creek Road, Cedar Park, TX 78613
Now we step up considerably in scale.
Brushy Creek Sports Park sits directly along Brushy Creek Road and is one of the most useful outdoor athletic facilities close to the community.
The City of Cedar Park currently lists:
- 2 baseball/softball fields
- 3 soccer/football fields
- Basketball court
- 9-hole disc golf course
- Cedar Park Skate Park
- Trails
- Playscape
- Pavilion
- Restrooms
The athletic fields are reservable, and the current city athletics page lists the multipurpose fields separately from the softball fields for field-status updates.
And the skate park deserves its own mention.
The skate park inside Brushy Creek Sports Park is approximately 15,000 square feet and includes:
- Mini bowl
- Large bowl
- Modern street course
- Shade and landscaping
It is free and open to the public during park hours.
Best for: Soccer, football, baseball/softball, skateboarding, basketball, and disc golf.
Cedar Park Recreation Center: Indoor Courts Without Driving Into Austin
1435 Main Street, Cedar Park, TX 78613
If indoor recreation is what you're after, Cedar Park Recreation Center is another nearby option.
The 47,500-square-foot facility has:
- Two full-court gymnasiums
- Elevated walking/jogging track
- Cardio and weight-training areas
- Group exercise rooms
- Activity and meeting spaces
Unlike a tournament-only venue, this is a public recreation center with memberships and day passes.
Best for: Basketball, indoor recreation, walking track and fitness.
Southwest Williamson County Regional Park: The “Almost Everything” Park
3005 County Road 175, Leander, TX 78641
This is one of the most comprehensive outdoor sports complexes within an easy regional drive of Brushy Creek.
Williamson County's current field inventory includes:
- 11 soccer-capable fields
- Full-sized cricket field
- Youth cricket field
- Cricket practice nets
- Football
- Lacrosse
- 3 lighted basketball courts
- 6 lighted pickleball courts
- 8 lighted tennis courts
- 2 lighted baseball/softball fields
- Running track
Field No. 6 functions as a stadium and can accommodate football, track, and soccer. Field No. 10 is used for football, lacrosse, and soccer.
There is an important current update here: in May 2026, Williamson County broke ground on a synthetic-turf project in partnership with Lonestar Soccer Club to increase field availability and improve year-round play.
So if you're using this facility in 2026–27, check current field status before heading out because portions may be affected by construction.
Best for: Soccer, cricket, football, lacrosse, pickleball, tennis, basketball, softball/baseball, and track.
The Crossover: Ice Hockey, Figure Skating, Soccer, Volleyball & Pickleball
1717 Scottsdale Drive, Cedar Park, TX 78641
This one is genuinely unusual for Central Texas.
The Crossover is a 200,000+ square-foot sports, wellness, and entertainment complex just off 183A.
Its headline feature is something you don't expect to find minutes from Brushy Creek:
Two full-size regulation NHL ice rinks.
Ice & Field operates hockey, figure skating, public skating, skating lessons, camps, and other ice programming there.
The broader complex also includes:
- Outdoor turf field
- Soccer
- Football
- Lacrosse
- Sand volleyball
- Pickleball
- Volleyball clubs
- Martial arts
- Athletic training
- Sports medicine
The facility's directory currently includes Lonestar Soccer Club, Fieldhouse Pickleball & Volleyball, i9 Sports, hockey and skating organizations, and multiple volleyball clubs.
Visit Cedar Park lists the venue with one outdoor turf field, six volleyball courts, and two hockey rinks, along with locker rooms, spectator space, and event facilities.
Best for: Ice hockey, figure skating, soccer, lacrosse, football, volleyball and pickleball.
H-E-B Center at Cedar Park: When You're Watching Instead of Playing
2100 Avenue of the Stars, Cedar Park, TX 78613
You don't have to be the athlete.
Sometimes you just want nachos and somebody else doing the cardio.
The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park is the major professional-sports arena on this side of Brushy Creek.
The city-owned arena is home to:
- Texas Stars — AHL hockey affiliate of the Dallas Stars
- Austin Spurs — NBA G League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs
- LOVB professional volleyball
The venue opened in 2009 and accommodates roughly 8,000–8,700 spectators depending on configuration.

Round Rock Sports Center: Indoor Tournament Central
2400 Chisholm Trail, Round Rock, TX 78681
Now we're heading toward Round Rock's serious tournament infrastructure.
The Round Rock Sports Center completed a major expansion in November 2025.
The facility now has approximately 118,750 square feet of indoor space and can be configured for:
- 8 high school basketball courts
- 16 high-school volleyball courts
- Or 4 NCAA basketball courts
The Sports Center can seat more than 2,200 spectators and accommodate more than 6,500 people overall.
Its 2025 expansion added 25,000 square feet, two full basketball courts — or four volleyball courts — and additional championship seating. The facility can now support a 16-court volleyball tournament or multiple simultaneous large events.
One important distinction:
This isn't a walk-in neighborhood gym.
The venue is designed primarily for organized practices, leagues, tournaments, and events.
Best for: Basketball, volleyball, tournaments, camps, cheer/danc,e and indoor sporting events.
Round Rock Multipurpose Complex: Serious Outdoor Tournament Fields
2001 N. Kenney Fort Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78665
The Round Rock Multipurpose Complex opened in 2017 inside the broader Old Settlers sports district.
The original 60-acre complex contains 10 fields:
- 2 championship fields
- 1 championship natural-grass field
- 1 championship synthetic-turf field
- 4 additional natural-grass multipurpose fields
- 4 synthetic-turf multipurpose fields
It hosts sports including:
Soccer
Football
Lacrosse
Rugby
Ultimate
Flag football
All ten original fields have sports lighting.
And the facility is getting considerably larger.
The city's current expansion project will add six additional fields plus collegiate-level press boxes. As of 2026, that project is still under construction/design as part of the larger Old Settlers Park expansion.

Old Settlers Park: Basically a Sports District by Itself
3300 Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78665
Old Settlers Park is not simply one sports complex.
It's almost an entire sports district.
The City of Round Rock currently lists:
Baseball
20 baseball fields, broken into multiple age-specific complexes.
Softball
5 lighted softball fields, designed for play ranging from youth through NCAA dimensions.
Soccer
7 soccer fields in addition to the separate Multipurpose Complex.
Football
Two maintained lighted game fields.
Cricket
A regulation cricket field and practice batting cages.
Disc golf
An 18-hole professionally designed course.
Tennis & pickleball
Round Rock completed relocated tennis and dedicated pickleball facilities in 2026 as part of the ongoing Old Settlers expansion.
Trails
About 3.3 miles of paved trail connect portions of the park, including Dell Diamond and the soccer areas.
The city is also building an Athletic Performance Center with an indoor gym, outdoor track, ack and four additional multipurpose fields as part of the broader park expansion.
Best for: Baseball, softball, soccer, football, cricket, tennis, pickleball, disc golf and major tournaments.
Dell Diamond: Triple-A Baseball Close to Home
3400 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78665
And sitting beside that sports district is Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
The stadium opened in 2000 and has become one of Round Rock's best-known sports landmarks.
For 2026, official Round Rock Express information still lists Dell Diamond at 3400 E. Palm Valley Boulevard. Game-day parking is currently $15 per vehicle, credit card only, although prices can differ for other events.

- Six additional Multipurpose Complex fields

- Outdoor track
- Four additional multipurpose fields
- Expanded tennis/pickleball facilities
- Ongoing Old Settlers Park improvements
Several parts of the Old Settlers buildout are expected to continue into FY2027.
So if you move to Brushy Creek now, the surrounding sports infrastructure may look even different a few years from now.
What I Like About Brushy Creek's Location for Sports
You aren't dependent on one recreation center.
That's what makes the location interesting.
Within Brushy Creek, you have neighborhood courts, fields,s and leagues.
Toward Cedar Pa,,rk you have skating, hockey, pickleball, recreation facilities,s and professional sports.
Toward Round Rock,ck you have large indoor and outdoor tournament complexes plus baseball, softball,l and Dell Diamond.
So whether the weekend means:
playing soccer
sitting through an eight-game volleyball tournament
skating
watching hockey
playing pickleball
or
eating a hot dog while someone else plays baseball
there's probably a facility nearby.
And sometimes that matters considerably more in everyday life than people realize when they're first choosing where to live.
Thinking About Moving to Brushy Creek?
When you're comparing homes, proximity to recreation isn't only about whether there is a park in the neighborhood.
It can also mean understanding where practices happen, which direction tournament traffic takes you, how far the indoor courts are, and whether your regular sports routine sends you toward Cedar Park or Round Rock.
At Hoyden Homes, we help buyers look at the full picture around a property — parks, recreation, trails, schools, commute routes, shopping, and the everyday places they're likely to use once they're actually living there.
Because sometimes the important question isn't:
“How close is the grocery store?”
It's:
“How early do I have to leave for an 8 a.m. soccer game?”
